THE WILSON READING SYSTEM
Advanced Word Analysis
A PROVEN WAY TO EXPAND READING AND SPELLING SKILLS
The research-based Wilson Reading System (WRS) is a comprehensive multisensory structured program designed for students who read and/or spell below grade level or who have been diagnosed with a language-based learning disability such as dyslexia. Published in 1988, the WRS is based on accepted Orton-Gillingham philosophy and provides key components that are necessary for students who struggle with encoding and decoding the English language. The WRS is a cornerstone of the SAS approach to educational therapy for LBLDs.
The Wilson Reading System directly teaches the structure of words with an organized and sequential system in 12 Steps. It provides a complete curriculum for decoding, spelling, and fluency as well as comprehension with progressively more challenging text.
Lessons are taught 1:1 by highly trained and experienced instructors.
